DESCRIPTION : this engraving comes from one of the finest natural history series titled "dictionaire universal d'histoire naturelle" published in the mid 19th century - the series featured most of the centuries top illustrators and engravers
and was written by one of the foremost french naturalist ~alcide d'orbigny
