This handcrafted pen is a "Stratus" style ballpoint with a very smooth and silent click mechanism. It uses standard Parker (or equivalent) ballpoint pen refills (ships with black ink). This body of this pen, my item # 103639, is made of clear acrylic resin encapsulating the top layer of an actual printed circuit board, this one in green. It even has some discrete electronic components (e.g., resistors and capacitors) surface mounted on it. The pen body's finish is water clear and high gloss - very durable. The circuit board coupled with the vertical knurling on the ends of both the cap and barrel gives the pen a high tech look and feel sure to appeal to any engineer, computer scientist, or other high tech enthusiast. The hardware has a bright chrome finish. It's a classy and very nice good looking, comfortable pen.
