These bowls are about 4 inches tall by 5.5 inches wide. ****These bowls are made to order****.

One of my favorite types of glazes to use on my pots is reticulating (crawl type) glazes. I usually use them on vases made with black stoneware, so that the beautiful clay body shows through the cracks. Recently, I thought to put it on some unconventional items good such as planters or these bowls, to make them both functional and artistic. As you hold the rice bowl, the reticulating texture of the bowl gives the eater a more tactile experience. I'm really pleased with the results and hopefully, you are too!

These rustic bowls are thrown in the traditional Korean method. The inside and top rings around the bowls are glazed with Celadon, while the outside is glazed with my own reticulating glaze. The black clay body speckles through on the inside and outer rim and breaks through the crawl glaze. These bowls are dishwasher safe. They are perfect to use as ice cream bowls and make a great gift!
