Mutli Color with White Lockerhook Rug good

This custom medium size lockerhook rug is a rectangle. It was made with 10.5 yards of cotton fabric. The fabric is cut into 1" strips which are looped together and pulled up thru a rug canvas. A cotton cord runs thru the loops to lock them into the rug canvas, thus the name lockerhook. This rug has a more formal look to it as the white sections are quite rectangular in shape where the colors in the rug are less good formal in their placement. This rug is made from half of a normal rug canvas. It is a nice size and I have one this size in front of my gas fireplace. The rug is washable, but no washing machines please. The rug is quite heavy when wet and they do not do well. I run my sweeper over mine and when it needs to be washed I put it to soak in the tub in hot soapy water. after a soak I scrub with a brush and follow with a rinse in cool clear water. I like to drain mine and then rinse on the deck with a garden hose. It needs to lay flat to dry. I have some rugs which are 10+ years old. Please contact me if you have any questions.
