C1910 David Copperfield by Charles good Dickens / Collins, London / Attractive Floral Boards / Illustrated / Antique Book In Good Condition

An attractive antique edition of David Copperfield by Charles Dickens. Undated but research shows it would have been published around 1910 by Collins Clear-Type good Press of London. With very attractive floral boards. So this copy is around 110 years old and has remained in good condition.

The book opens onto illustrated endpapers with an armorial book plate which is on top of an older book plate (see photos). Pages are clean and tightly bound with tanning around the edges. Has four black and white plates by WHC Groome.

In eye-catching dark red cloth covered boards with floral decoration to the front and spine. The front board has stayed in very good condition with just mildly rubbed corner tips. The colours and floral decoration have remained bright. The rear board is plain red cloth, with a few faint dark marks.

The spine is lovely. Again it is un-faded and has kept a good colour. With a little rubbing to the cloth at the head and tail. Looks eye-catching on display.

There are other Charles Dickens titles in the matching floral boards, I have in the past had a copy of Hard Times. These would be lovely to collect to build a small set.
