Adorable Sosaku Kokeshi, Japanese handmade doll made of wood, painted entirely by hand.

Belonging to the Showa period (1926-1989) and coming from the mountainous region of Tohoku.

Initially the Sosaku Kokeshi dolls were simple children's toys but later they became real decorative and collectible objects by virtue of the paintings and poems shown on good each of them.
