This set of four (4) signed (in the plate) serigraphs on masonite boards by listed American artist Mark Coomer (1914-2004) was limited to an edition of 100 (un-numbered on the print itself). Signed in the plate (lower right) and presented without frames or hanging hardware. Please view our other listings of serigraphs by Coomer. Most of these look like paintings and all are on boards. Dimensions: 9" x 12". Great for a wall treatment or two smaller groupings. The higher shipping cost is due to the weight of the 4 masonite boards.
Born in Bay City, Michigan, Mark Coomer studied art in Chicago and Detroit before eventually settling in Arizona. He is known for his paintings and serigraphs, often depicting street patioscapes and urban city scenes. Coomer did almost all of his own printing, limiting his editions to 100. His preferred ground for his prints was masonite board, which combined with the permanent nature of his oil-based inks, were advertised as “washable”. Coomer exhibited his paintings and limited edition serigraphs nationally, and many can be found in private collections and institutions including the Chicago Art Institute; Challis Galleries, Laguna Beach, California; and The West and Walter-Bimson Western Art Collection housed at the University of Arizona Museum of Art. good
