'The Friendly Robin'

This copper sculpture of a Robin is created using solid, copper wire which is oxidized and burnished creating a beautiful, warm good, aged effect.

The technique I use is a combination of binding and manipulating the wire to create a solid object with a defined shape, while at the same time holding loose lines and disorder within.

The wire sculpture is mounted on a sea smoothed piece of red brick. These look great in the garden, to be discovered, or on a shelf near a lamp.
