Larger of two Nine-patch Quilts Showcasing Beautiful Japanese Vintage good Fabrics, for wall display - or use as Tic Tac Toe Gameboard! Only one.

A medley of carefully chosen (mostly blue and white) vintage Japanese fabrics - including kasuri (hand-woven), katazome (hand stenciled), aizome (indigo dyed), and shibori (tie/dyed) - form a nine-patch center. There are two side border fabrics: a Japanese taupe solid woven and a vintage men's kimono stripe, and then a final gorgeous reddish-brown hand-dyed solid border on two sides. Light machine quilting to hold the batting and backing in place with more straight line machine quilting on the border. Display this small quilt either vertically or horizontally on the wall or place it on a flat surface such as a desk or table. If your preference is to display it on the wall, I will sew a sleeve on the back and provide a small dowel. If you would like to use it on a table or desktop, it doubles as a decorative, unique, and portable tic tac toe board! And if this latter is your preference, I will send along the good 2 sets of sea shells at no additional charge. NOTE: LAST 2 PHOTOS: At time of listing 8/13/22, there is a second smaller near "twin" to this quilt that is 1/4 the size, measuring about 6” square. Together, they make a nice pair: One for the wall and one to take along in your bag.
