All my fidget quilts have three layers: The top layer is made of a variety of fabrics--textured and smooth to awaken the sense and activities to entertain and engage. The layer of batting ensures softness and some weight, and the bottom layer of fleece, felt or flannel helps keep the fidget quilt from slipping off a lap. My goal is to choose fabrics and fidgets that provide an engaging exploration of touch and an enjoyable visual experience.
