Special edition, 1977 Shepherd of the Year, Rare good Vintage Original ANRI Juan Ferrandiz 6.5 inch "FRIENDSHIP" figurine

This rare vintage original ANRI Juan Ferrandiz hand carved and painted figurine, "FRIENDSHIP", was released in 1977 as the 1977 Shepherd of the Year. It was the first in a series of limited editions however the number in the edition was never announced. (The Art of Ferrandiz by Carl F. Luckey) Therefore this piece doesn't have the number that collectors look for on limited editions. However, this piece is rare because all the editions after 1977 of Friendship do not bear a date in the impressed JFerrandiz on the base. This edition has 'JFerrandiz 77' while all the editions in later years have only 'JFerrandiz'.

Excellent condition with no fading of colors. This is from our private family collection and was purchased as new in the 70's.

6.5 inches high with Anri stamp and sticker on the base.

There isn't an original box.
