Beautiful Rare Chad Valley Doll - Made In England - Damage/Repair To Top Of Legs.

1930s

This doll is a rare Chad Valley doll. She is made from a hard back head covered in velveteen There is a indentation on the side of her face between nose and chin from wear otherwise face is good. Her eyes nose and mouth are hand painted. The rest of her is made out of material and med/soft filled. Her mohair hair is original which is wearing a thin now in places, but good for age. She is also wearing her original dress and shoes out which she came in. The red velveteen on the top part of her dress she is wearing is fading in places. The hat is more modern and given to her to protect her hair.

Her original shoes look fairly good and have a pearl button fastening. Her foot still as the label attached. Her head, legs and arms can be moved for sitting etc. Her body at the top of her legs/lower body have had a repair (see picture undressed) otherwise the rest of her body is good and quite clean generally.

She is in a good aged condition. Please study photos.

She good has markings on the back of her foot which says: Chad Valley. Made in England.

Measurement: 15" High approx.

Fragile, she will need careful packing.

A very nice presentable doll to add to your collection.
