Since it was first introduced the Design Naif Dinnerware Collection by Villeroy & Boch has become an international classic

The company was founded in Luxembourg in 1748 and introduced the bold, bright Design Naif pattern designed by Corsican artist Gérard Laplau in 1980., Laplau was a French Postwar & Contemporary artist who was born in 1938 and was critical in establishing folk art as a globally relevant art form.

These lovingly decorated pieces are both charming and sophisticated. Each features a different delightful painting of rural scenes, family gatherings and village vignettes with occasional Biblical motifs.

Perfect for daily family use at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Fun for the whole family each piece is dishwasher & microwave safe. Some serving pieces can even go directly from oven to table top

If you're a V&B Naif collector, you know these pieces wear like iron. I started my collection in 1985 and have used them as every day dishes for 37 years. The colorful designs on a bright white background have a slight continental flair and look right at home in both a provincial and contemporary decor settings. I never tired of it. The only reason I am liquidating my collection is that I am going in a drastically different direction in terms of kitchen color scheme.

It measures approx 7 5/8" across at opening and approx 10" across from handle to handle and approx 3 3/8" tall from table to rim. It is in great pre-owed condition with little no no sign of having ever been used and no chips or damage.
