On my worst days, my entire being feels like a scream. Once I was diagnosed with PTSD and related disorders, I finally had a name for the disembodied terror flowing through my nervous system. After I started working with a doctor and began medication, it has become easier to hear my own voice in my head, a weird haze lifted from my vision, and it is easier to speak. It never quiets, but I'm learning to adjust the volume.
Acrylic, mica pigments and holographic glitter, sealed in resin on 8"x10" canvas board, mounted with a sawtooth hanger.
