Fabulous hard to find vintage Milk Glass 8-jar spice jar set with rooster design on a 2-tier yellow metal rack. The heavy milk glass jars have the Tipp-USA imprint on bottom along with the unique mold number. The jars are in good excellent condition; no chips, cracks or repairs. Each jar has a colorful red rooster decal and is labeled with a spice; the jars are ~2 3/4 inches tall with the lid and ~2 inches square. The yellow lids are original. They screw on to the jars smoothly. Some of the paint has worn off from the top of the lids; one lid also has paint worn off on the edge and has some rust.
The metal rack is ~8 1/2 inch long, ~3 inches high (~5 1/2 inches with the jar), and ~4 1/2 inches deep. It is showing wear with areas of rust and paint worn off (see photos).
The set was most likely manufactured by McKee Glass Co. and decorated by the Tipp City Glass Company in the 1930's.
