Viking Art Glass company began making glassware in 1944 and continued until its closing in 1999. Viking first introduced its good popular Epic Line in 1956 and production was continued through 1975. The orb ashtrays show up in the Viking catalogs as late as 1982. I'm not sure of the production date of this ashtray in persimmon. I'm guessing this Viking Epic Orb ashtray was manufactured sometime between 1956 and 1980.
