'White Rabbit' is an undyed mill spun yarn that was homegrown in the U.S. This luxurious hand dyed yarn is next to baby skin soft! The twist is well balanced making it a great choice for woolen projects. Because of long staple of individual fibers, this yarn is durable and not prone to pilling. With a little wash and wear the angora will to bloom to create a gentle halo that is fabulous in hand knit socks, scarves, or mittens! Tags are multi-purpose and double as project notes to document your work of art along the way.
Earth & Farm First Commitment:
Backyard German Angora rabbits are shorn at 90 days for a minimum 3 inch long coat. All the attention and care is at the forefront during the shearing process so as to keep the bunnies happy, calm, and safe while their coats come off. Angora wool from our humanely-raised buns is then sent to and spun by a four generation family mill in the US.
Critters on our micro-farm are spoiled daily with love, scratches, and occasional treats. Their manure is composted and returned to the soil.
Packaging is of entirely recyclable and or compostable material. Yarn is biodegradable. Tags are multipurpose and compostable. Ribbons are reusable.
Waste not, want not!
