This watch is waterproof but please don't put it in hot or warm water. This watch is waterproof because it does track swimming. Digital text and call readout is an option on this device, however you will not be able to respond to any messages or speak to the watch. Luxe is easily one of the prettiest fitbits I've owned and doubles as jewelry. Comes with 4 additional bands that I've never used (all bands are the standard size small). Charger also included. There are no scratches on the digital screen. There are some superficial scuffs on the gold part of the watch (as shown in photos).
