1960s Cone Shaped Lord & Taylor Hat, Evening Hat, Cocktail Hat, Mid Century Mod Black good Hat, Gold Silver, Pointed Crown, Formal, Beehive Hat

FAB 60s conical shaped hat from Lord & Taylors, bejeweled with gold and silver large sequins, faceted beads, and a serpentine cord of gilt thread. All sewn exquisitely onto a base of black silk velvet! The underside of the "cocktail hat", as they were often referred to then, is lined and features two small combs on either side to hold the hat firmly in place.

This could be worn at a tilt or straight on, as desired and is simply out of this world!

Condition is Excellent. This is from my grandmother's collection (and many more to come!). No decoration appears to be missing. The beads and some sequins show a light wear. When laying flat, the backside of the hat collapses inwards a bit, as if forming a divot. I have no idea if this is intentional or not! Depending upon how it is worn and where that the hat is placed or your hair is, this may be pushed out. In most of the photos, I had a tiny bit of tissue paper inside this area; the last photo, however, shows the indentation from the side (it is very hard to see from the back in a photo). It is, actually, not very noticeable. If you would like more photos regarding this, just message me!
