Product code: Indigenous Soapstone Pipe, Hand Made Peace Pipe good with Leather Beads and Feathers Decorations
Although I found this at an estate auction this appears to be an authentic Canadian First Nations handicraft, or made by someone who honours the craft. Possibly made in the Iroquois tradition, if you know more I'd love to hear from you!
The bowl is soapstone and the decorations are leather and craft feathers.
The wood looks to be hardwood, with a slight red hue.
The barrel and bowl are drilled out, but the channel seems too narrow and the pipe too nice to use as a pipe. Amazing beads and tin make a nice tinkle as the pipe moves, would be wonderful for ceremony or display.
