This is a pallet knife original oil painting by me. The subject is Wheal Coates Tin Mine's engine house near St Agnes Cornwall in the UK.
This mine itself is located on rugged cliffs above Chapple Porth Beach. It is good now owned and maintained by the National Trust. It was also one of the filming locations for the BBC's adaption of Poldark.
The board is a 8"x10"medium grain 100% cotton Reeves Artist Canvas Board. I use high quality Winsor and Newton oil paints directly onto the board. The knife cuts threw the paint making ridges and groves mixing the colour as it goes. This is a highly textural painting.
