FIVE Antique Brass Mirror Plates Rosette for Sheraton good Empire 1800s Vintage Period Hardware Backsplash Applique 6845

FIVE early 1800's empire Stamped brass back splash or split column mirror corner plates. Could also be used as decoration for blocked and bowed card table ends or other uses such as for window decoration, door or fireplace corners, and other applique.

Price is for the FIVE plates.

Scarce to find in sets when not on a mirror. 1815-30's plate good with 4 scrolling leaves and tapered ribbon design. FOUR have the long brass tack , one is missing the tack.

2 11/32" across the ribbon points. Stamping is 1/4" deep.

Unpolished, retain most of the original matte gilt surface though 2 are browning and one is getting some green oxidation. The tackless one has 2 tiny nail holes near the center, the greening one has one tiny nail hole near the center.
Long tacks are soft brass - you will need a guide hole to mount these - the tack Will Bend easily - I believe they are made to bend in the wood corner block of the mirror like a cinch nail or be folded over if used on a back splash.
