Mari Simmulson's lovely rustic, eclectic tray/dish in a square / quadratic form, brown good clay, and flower relief. Model 4156 was designed in 1958 as part of the flower series. A brilliant piece from the Upsala-Ekeby mid-century! Maker Upsala-Ekeby, original production Material Earthenware. Condition Very good vintage condition only minor signs of wear and chipping from normal use and age as per photos, nothing to classify as damage. Includes original sticker (faded). Smaller matching plate from same series as per last photo.

The artist:
Mari Simmulson (1911-2000) is one of the well-known representatives of the illustrious Swedish ceramic design of the 20th century. She was one of the leading designers for Gustavsberg and Upsala-Ekeby in the 1940s-1960s.
