Rare, large vintage Furga doll Mamma Elisabeth - The Kent good Family series - MINT in box - 70s - DVSPOP

This large, rare Furga doll Mamma Elisabeth (cod. 3760) from the Kent Family series ("La Famiglia Kent"), has a head and limbs made of vinyl and a fabric torso, has large dark brown glass sleeping eyes, beautiful cupid striklippen with a slightly opened mouth, has long, braided blond hair, real and drawn eyelashes and drawn eyebrows. She is nicely dressed in a dark red dress with flowers and wears a beige apron with small flowers. In her hair she has tied a dark green velvet bow. Mamma Elisabeth wears beige boots with heels. The inside of the box is nicely worked out in the form of a dining room from the 30s. She's never been out of the box. The box is no longer in fantastic condition.

A little info about Furga dolls
Luigi Furga, a nobleman from Canneto, Italy, started his doll factory in 1872. Furga's first dolls were made with wax mask heads on a papier-mâché body, a little later dolls were also made on fabric bodies. Later they imported biscuit heads from Germany to put them on their dolls. Around World War I, Furga built his own porcelain factory for the biscuit heads and all bisque dolls called Mignonettes. Furga also made doll heads of pastello, a kind of composition. They also made dolls from pressed felt, composition, hard plastic and vinyl. Furga dolls are always of good quality.
