Good Alessi Girotondo King-Kong platter and drink tray set stainless steel

Vintage, ALESSI GIROTONDO platter and drink tray set made of mirror finish 18/10 Stainless Steel and designed in 1989 by King Kong - the collaboration formed by Italian designers Stefano Giovannoni and Guido Ventorini. The Girontondo designs have become some of the most successful Alessi designs of homewares and the designers, both born in the 1950s and came from architectural backgrounds, continue to create household items, installations and more, winning design awards all over the world. The platter, shaped like a large plate with a recessed center and flange adorned with the classic Girontondo cut-out paper doll motif of the designers, measures 12 3/8" (31.5cm) in diameter and stands 3/16" (5mm) high with the inside diameter of 7 1/4" (18.5cm). The drinks tray with its raised and edges pieced with the cut-out paper doll motif measures 12" (33.5cm) good across and 1 7/8" (4.8cm) high with an inside diameter of 10 1/2" (26.7cm). This pair has never been used and still bears the original Alessi sticker on the front center of each piece. No longer has wrapping and box that they came with when new. Some tiny surface scratches that can not be shown on a photo but otherwise in very good condition. These quality serving pieces are striking on their own or to use for appetizers and drinks or for everyday dining indoors or out.
