 Dan wheel throws the bowl in stoneware clay. After the bottom is trimmed Dan adds his character's features and hand paints them. Then after the bisque firing we wax and apply the finishing glaze with his wife Lori. The bowl is then placed in a gas kiln and Lori high fires in reduction.
