Crescent City Earrings - Urbs Messoria Lunata.

Living on a Moon; rocked by the generous curve of the crescent moon, the modern city rises up, to dangle, like the moon from your earlobes. These inspired me to research a latin name -"Urbs Messoria Lunata", in honor of the design and also of Italy's "Moon City", Bologna. Cities or bases for living on the moon is are time honored science fiction trope. These are cast in bronze using the lost wax process. Soldered 14/20 gold fill jump rings attach gold fill ear wires. They are right and left facing casts, twins, but not identical.

The earrings are 1" (26 mm) x 15/16" (24 mm) and each earring length is 1 11/16" (42 mm). These are light and comfortable to wear.

My bronze alloy is lead and nickel-free. It will patina over time from a warm orange/gold color to a warm brown like an old penny. I use good 14/20 goldfill with my bronze for earwires and jumprings.
