Large French antique bowl 13.25" blue and white transferware in romantic good floral pattern, late 1800s - early 20th C

good Gorgeous large antique bowl made for the French market around late 1800s - early 1900s. Beautiful decoration in blue and white transferware in a romantic floral pattern. Probably originally a water bowl for washing, this piece would make an excellent fruit bowl, centerpiece or large salad bowl.

Nicely aged patina with creamy white ground and lovely mid blue decoration which gives a lovely soft palette. The transferware printing is very detailed and features different flowers in each of the floral vignettes - so much detail to enjoy in this piece!

In good condition for age, no chips or heavy staining. A very fine hairline crack on one side of the rim which is extremely hard to see. Light crazing of the glaze, a few flea bite glaze losses from the surface - see photos for all areas of damage. Still very usable and displays well.

Dimensions: 34cm diameter x 10cm high (interior of bowl is about 9cm deep)
