Monticello rug hooking pattern is printed on high quality bleached primitive linen, and the finished size is 31" x 40". A house and garden design.
The pattern comes with full color photos as well as hooking hints and color suggestions. The rugs are hooked in a 8 cut (1/4" wide strips of wool fabric), but would also be good in multi cuts.
I finish my rugs with a crocheted binding made with 7 cut wool strips. Wool for crocheting should be cut in very long strips, and I have listings for several colors in the WOOL section of this shop.
A flamboyant homage to the good legendary home and garden of Thomas Jefferson. Adapted from a vintage folk art painting, this exaggerated mountaintop scene is framed by a bower of nodding leaves. The former president was an avid gardener and particularly fond of tulips, so this garden features many plantings of his favorite flower, as well as rows of other ornamentals and vegetables. I hooked this in a primary color sheme of golden yellows, soft blues, and a scrap bag of reds.
