Chinese Export Box with Mother of Pearl Inlay, Ca: good 1880s.

This is a beautifully made Chinese good Export box that was just found a great old St. Louis estate. This box features finely inlaid mother of pear floral work and a monogramed cartouche. The box has a lacquered interior and an old surface that only comes with time. The bottom shows the wear is should have for it's age. The box dates from the late 19th century and measures 8 1/4" long by 2 1/2" tall by 3" deep.
