Campo del good Cielo Meteorite

The first Campo del Cielo specimen was reported in 1576 and the impact that originated these meteorites is estimated to have happened 4,000 to 6,000 years ago.

A Campo del Cielo is an iron-nickel meteorite belonging to the main group (MG) of the I-AB complex.

It's composed of nickel iron but includes a few sulfides, carbides, and phosphides as well as silicate inclusions.
