Victorian Fairings are small china ornament from the 1800'S, usually trinket boxes depicting a variety of scenes-humorous, political or domestic. They were often given away at fairs in the Victoria Era and were displayed on mantles in middle class homes.
The box good is in the form of a cherub with two ores in a bowl in front of a vanity mirror. This piece is in great condition for its age and would be a great gift. Gold gliding shows wear - this is consistent with age of this piece. Model number 3555 impressed on cover. Measures 2 3.4 inches wide, 2 inches deep and 4 1/8 inches high.
