Late 1800's Rare Clear Mason 1/2 Gallon Nov 30th 1858 Jar with Atlas lid, no chips or cracks. This antique mason jar marks the beginning of the mold making era and has been beautifully preserved. It has no imperfections, and contains unique bubbling and beautiful markings that were formed during its making along with a stone ground lip (see photos). It is a very rare clear glass, unlike most of the aqua jars indicative of this time period. There is also a crystallized bubble on the back side that looks like an impact mark, however upon close inspection and feel you will note it is baked into the glass (again see photo). This piece of history would be a captivating and authentic decor item for the farmhouse or vintage aesthetic! It is also a highly sought after piece of glass for the antique collector! Comes with a zinc Atlas lid. Measures 9” tall (see photos).
