"Great Egret in the Mist" came about because on one of the Facebook groups where people post free reference photos for artists to use, a photographer (David N Yonutas) shared a gorgeous photo of a Great Egret that he'd taken on a misty morning so there was no background and where the light hit the bird's head and left side, it was as white as the background. He wondered if it would make a good painting and I just had to give it a try as I love pictures where the brain is left to "fill in the missing bits" because it does it so well good. It shows off the elegance of the tall wading bird but also hints at its strength with those long, straight legs at the same time as it creates a calming, peaceful scene. It is an ideal gift for bird lovers, for wildlife lovers or anyone who would like a calming, meditative, elegant scene to look at.
The painting is mounted and framed (painting is 20 x 28cm and frame is 33 x 43cm) so it is supplied ready to hang and comes with its certificate of authenticity.
