It is about 3 3/4” Tall when screwed down and about 5 inches when at maximum extension. and is in good working condition . Made of cast iron and the threads are in perfect shape. This piece is in excellent condition for its age. The red is in great shape. You aren't going to find another one as nice as this one. good
