Henry Every (or Avery) was a pirate whose aliases included John Avary, Long Ben, and Benjamin Bridgeman good. Historians can not agree about how he ended his career. Some believe he was one of the few major pirate captains to retire with his loot without being arrested or killed in battle. Others believe he actually died soon after his retirement as a poor sailor on the streets of London.
This flag is appliqued (handsewn) on both sides. Made of durable, UV protected, 200 denier nylon fabric; finished with durable canvas heading and brass grommets. Handmade in Seattle, Washington.
