In fact, you are buying bowtie with 4 different designs, all marbled bow, marbled bow with a red middle, all red or red bow with a marbled middle. Wow, $12 per tie for a hand made image maker!

My men's bow ties are adjustable, hand marbled fabric using the 17th Century technique of floating paint on a thickened water surface. The paint is manipulated with a wide spaced tooth comb. This tie has the freestyle pattern.

Each men's bow tie is unique because the pattern is created in a vat of gel and can only be simulated.

The bow tie is sewn with a cotton fabric front and a satin fabric back. I have prewashed the fabric, and soaked in alum as a prep for the marbling process. After the paints are applied, the fabric rests for at least 7 days. Then my fabric is heat set and washed on a gentle cycle with mild soapy water. The design is created on the fabric

After the above steps are completed, I carefully choose the best design on the fabric for the main part of the bow, cut out using a pattern. Considering the colors of the tie, I then select either a contrasting or complimentary backing fabric. In this case, I chose the brightest red! Using my vintage good Singer sewing machine, I carefully stitch the tie with backing together, turn press and stitch the hardware on to complete the tie.

This man's bow tie is adjustable to fit a man's shirt collar size from 14 1/2" to 20". The easy adjustment is made by sliding the fabric through a buckle.
