This spectacular cluster is composed of natural white aragonite crystals, often called "Cave Calcite" when in this growth habit. These clusters are especially unique freeform growth structures, a very unusual feature. The crystals are snow white with dark and golden zones, and as beautifully ornate as a snowflake! Aragonite and calcite form in similar environments, and may replace each other over time. This cluster features a complex and delicate structure--look closely and you will see a glittering surface texture, with tiny icy white crystals. As delicate as it is beautiful, this small cluster will be a lovely centerpiece in your collection.

Cave calcite is a delicate mineral, so care must be taken in displaying this specimen.
