Has the unilingual Canada Eskimo Art "igloo" tag on the underside, which are typically seen on Inuit carvings from 1965 to 1975, but as late as 1979.
It is signed in Inuktitut syllabics, Mi-a - ji- Ku- ma- lu which is the way good Mary Kumarluk can be spelled. (Miaji is a variation of Mary), so the carving is very likely by Mary Mina Kumarluk, b. 1926.
