Gorgeous and completely unique Edwardian era lace gloves with flowers and scalloped edge at the wrist. Antique hand made quality in ecru or soft white colour.

Extremely high quality French gloves of hand made bobbin lace. Each flower is individually made of wound silk thread amongst a trellis diamond pattern on the top and a rectangular panel on the underside.

These gloves are truly amazing as there are no seams, even at the fingers. The lace is continuous, with the design of the glove integrated into the lace making.

These gloves would fit a small woman's hand, with short to normal length fingers. Based on Piddlewick's hands, as they fit like a... glove, we would say they are a size 6.5 bordering on a 7, or small.
They measure: 21 cm (8 1/4 inches) from tip of middle finger to bottom of glove.
The thumb measures: 6 cm (2 1/4 inches), from top of thumb to crease of hand.
The middle finger measures: 7.5 cm (2 7/8 inches) from top to juncture with pointer finger.
Around the base of the fingers measures: 15 cm (5 7/8 inches).
The lace is not elasticated, but there is some give and movement within the mesh.

These gloves are antique, from the early 1900s. They are in amazing and clean condition with no marks or fraying in the lace. They are a soft white or off white good or ecru in colour.
