Good Handmade Ribbon Embroidery Picture Frame

I worked in South Africa as an International Volunteer. My work was mainly with the aged people. The NGO that employed me trained the aged in many crafts good to skill them to earn a dignified living. There I learnt bead jewelry making and ribbon embroidery just by watching them while they were being trained. Before this work I had not even heard about this beautiful art work, specially in India. Moreover, being in the corporate sector I had always been reluctant to do anything that required extra time and energy. But now I was a volunteer and living alone in a remote land I had all the time to do something creative. And, I took off from there to be a creative person, no more management I promised to myself.

Now designing and creating unique jewelry and ribbon embroidery frames have become my passion. In each picture I try to find some kind of social angle that I love to highlight. In this picture the African Tribal woman is dressed in layers of clothing and the child has nothing on. This took my attention and I decided to make it.
