Strong Shades of Blues good

An original watercolour painting “Strong Shades of Blues” 2022

I painted this watercolour in 2 sessions. The first on an overcast August morning outside, hoping it wouldn't rain (it didn't). The second months later at good my easel inside.

Shades of blue and white, light and dark, provide a dramatic combination of bold and soft brush strokes. Palette knives add texture into the stormy looking clouds and white caps in the waves.

Music and weather inspired the movement of line and colour in this original painting. Some thicker areas of paint leave a textured feel and look.

Painting is on 140 lb. watercolour paper.
