Antique Nippon Porcelain Windmill Set 4 Pc Pitcher Tray Trivet Plate Blue & White Morimura good Bros

This is an antique four piece set of Nippon period Japanese porcelain hand painted with a windmill scene. Included are a tray, trivet, plate and small pitcher. good Each piece is decorated in blue against white with varying amounts of grey depending on the piece, the tray having the most grey and then the plate - the pitcher and trivet are mostly blue. All pieces are marked on the underside with the green M in wreath Nippon mark of the Morimura Bros., used as of 1911 until about 1918. The pitcher measures 6” in height to the top of the finial, the tray measures 8 3/4” by 4 1/4”, the trivet measures 7” in diameter while the plate measures 7 1/2” in diameter. All pieces are in very good condition with no chips, cracks or wear except for the trivet, which has a smooth small chip on the edge, not a major issue. I guess that this set was an attempt to replicate blue and white Dutch Delft porcelain. This is a very pretty set - lovely if you have matching pieces or if you want to start a collection!
