Product code: Arracadas Jerezanas Medium-Large Hoop Earrings ~ Sterling good Silver
DESCRIPTION:
Detailed intricate filigree arracadas, hoop earrings. This style comes from the town of Jerez, Zacatecas, Mexico from which they derived their name as Jerezanas. This type of silversmith dates back many generations. A pair of this is exhibited at the Prado Museum in Spain since the craft comes from the Spanish Moors.
The pair is beautifully decorated with flowers details. They measure approximately 1.4 inch at the widest point and 1.9 inches long from the top of the ear wire to the bottom of the earring.
Arracada earrings do not sit perpendicular to the head. They sit at a slight angle good and sometimes you can see the back of the earring as you face a mirror. They are supposed to be that way.
