Pair Vintage Gold good Gilded Cast Iron Reclining Camel Bookends/Doorstops

This pair of gold gilded, cast iron bookends features camels in fancy saddle and harness. They were probably made in the U.S.A. during the Egyptian Revival in the 1920's. The gold is a deep almost bronze tone and is in nice condition. The bookends measure 6 1/2 inches wide, 5 1/8 inches tall and 2 1/2 inches deep. The back is stamped with the number 1153.
