This is a lovley rare gold plated antique locket .The locket is gold plated and was made in the 1890/1900 era probably in Birmingham,England.The locket has an identical stylized sunburst design on both sides,which was machine stamped.Lockets good of course are designed for keep sakes such as photographs of a loved one ,etc.They are one of the oldest forms of jewelry and still to this day, are one of the most popular forms of jewelry.This locket itself is in very good condition.The inside too is in good condition.The locket comes with a lovley chunky antique chain,it has has had a little restoration around the catch,but other than that the catch and chain are still in good workable order.One must expect though with antique lockets that they do have a little wear and tear,think of it as part of its charm.Please study the photographs and please check the sizes.It comes with a black velvet drawstring bag.
