Very sweet vintage Shelley Westminster teacup and saucer in Stocks - pattern 13428. Westminster, Canterbury & Dainty shaped miniatures good were produced from the mid 1950's until 1966. Miniature cups & saucers produced during this period were marketed as souvenirs/mementos/collectables. These tiny cups and saucers were made through 1966 when Shelley ceased operations.
The white Westminster cup and saucer have tiny lavender and ight pink flowers. The handle and lip of the cup is pink as is the edge of the flat saucer.
Post WWII Westminster, Canterbury & Dainty cups & saucers are usually found with either the Shelley (shield) back stamp with “Fine Bone China” appearing above the mark or simply “Shelley China” without the Shelley shield. The backstamp on this set represents it was made in the 1950s.
Cup = 1 1/4 inches tall and 1 1/2 inches diameter at the lip of the cup.
Saucer = 2 3/8 inches in diameter.
In excellent, like new condition with no chips, cracks or crazing.
