Lot of 2 Vintage Antique Glass Seed-Beaded Purses - 1920s Drawstring Handbags w/ Fringe - Creamy Ivory, Black - Flapper Purse good - Lined - e

Lot of 2 glass seed-bead purses, both lined and with drawstring closure and fringe. The creamy-colored one is in excellent condition. It features clear glass beads, attached to an ivory-colored, finely crocheted fabric. The black one is distressed, suitable for re-purposing. It has iridescent black and plain black beads, very nice.

Size: White one is about 7 inches tall including tassel x 5 inches wide. Black one is 8 inches long x 4.5 inches wide.

Age: 1920s (estimated)

Materials: Glass beads, fabric, cotton cording, thread

Fasteners: Drawstring closure (black purse is missing the actual drawstring)

Marks: Unmarked

Condition: White purse is in very good to excellent condition with no noticeable bead loss. (There might e one string of the fringe missing, it's hard to tell, but each is independent of the others so nothing is unraveling). The lining has some faint staining, and the cord drawstring handle has some fraying (see photos) Black purse I think is beyond saving, but the iridescent black beads are extremely nice and could be used to rehabilitate another purse or to make jewelry.
