Product code: 1971 Anti-war poster by good Arne Ungermann - Original Vintage Poster

A satirical anti-war poster displaying the devil enjoying himself while playing military march song.

The bottom is the nodes for Marche Militaire by the Austrian composer Franz Schubert.

The poster was made by Arne Ungermann - a known pacifist and satirical archetype who made his views on politics quite visible trough his art.

The artwork was made during the Cold War and the Vietnam War and it is easy to combine the period of time with the image. This print was exclusively made for the Danish newspaper "Politiken" - a newspaper known for perspectives on international collaboration and defiantly viewing war as the first way to fix an international issue.

The Danish illustrator Arne Ungermann (1902-1981) is one of the greatest poster good artists from Denmark. Ungermann made several iconic posters many of which is very valuable today.
