Shell pincushion and wood good tape measure. 19th century.

Two delightful Victorian sewing aids. A natural shell pin cushion tied together at the base with ribbon and closing a green velvet pincushion. It is in good antique condition except for a slight edge "nibble" on one side of the shell. It measures 1 1/2 inches across its widest point.The tape measure is mid Victorian fishing reel style and made of smooth wood. The winding mechanism is brass with a tiny bone handle. The cloth tape is marked in inches and is intact. It good measures 1 inch across. Two lovely additions to a sewing collection. Please feel free to ask questions.
